“I turned to speak to God
About the world's despair
But to make bad matters worse
I found God wasn't there.”
― Robert Frost
I turned and read that God was not there
and was quiet before a thought so wild
as my instinct was to disagree.
No doubt the writer felt himself stripped bare
and who knows by how many things from his style
nor whether would I say the same if they were upon me.
Of what has come upon me I could say were many
and some were torture or cruel or unfair
that I too have asked where is He like a child.
I asked and thought and prayed quietly
til I lost my mind by torment of despair
a sound and form torrent of no time trial.
Yet every storm creates a calm for a while
that lasts enough to learn what it is to be
for it is this and it is true--with God both we share.
Not alone in dark nor cold neither laugh nor smile
of sorrow and joy what we feel so does He
and so we look with heart to the storm to breathe its air!

#poetry - Pledge of the Archangel
I am Archangel, one and many,
I am Power of God, I exist to deliver,
There are none but God who stand above me,
The body I assume is my prophet.
I am with free will, my choices are flawless,
I am perfection, imperfection yields to my will,
I risk nothing against all peril,
I have no equal, except of my Order,
I exist in fellowship, alone and in concert,
I am within and without time,
I am within and without space,
I am within and without mind,
I am within and without soul.
I may never be defeated for I am Victory.
To men, I am immortal,
To men, I am grace and courage,
To men, I am wisdom and love,
To men, I seem like All.
Men fear when I am amok,
Men surrender to my custody,
Men accept the form my Justice assumes,
Men benefit upon my Arrival.
What I think, men do;
What I know, men may know;
Men exist to carry my memory,
Men exist to carry my plan.
With fire team, I deliver bunker,
With squad, I deliver garrison,
With platoon, I deliver city,
With company, I deliver state.
I have come to purify the Well,
I have come to foster increase,
I have come to set the Record,
The Day of Judgment is now.
When I kneel,
When my wings expand,
When my sword is aflame,
When my flight
All adversary shall fail
Prepare for doom,
Prepare for reckoning,
Prepare for Truth,
Prepare for Peace.
I am Power of God, I exist to deliver,

#poetry - Wake up and smell the roses
"Wake up and smell the roses"
First comes will, then energy,
Then it finds you after you find it,
Then comes curiosity with innocence,
and love and warmth and light.
Next comes the first lie and
in the fall out you cry though,
it was comparatively small but,
it makes you feel paradise lost.
Then you adjust and counter and
begin to lie as well and join
the ranks and participate and
still have love but hurt and feel.
Then the well in you fills
and brims with a sorrow
driven by all you could have said
and done with more truth.
Then the weight of your well
so deep and full halts you fully
and you sink in some form of despair
and begin to think your self is lost.
Then you learn to cope in some way
and drain some of your well
till it fills again and you repeat
and start to polish a human life.
But then just maybe you leave
your well unguarded and unchecked
until it fills and brims and floods
the entire plane upon which you stand
and take for granted.
Now you must sincerely dwell
until you find the root and the source
of your well; now you must go down there
against the grain of fear, diving deep.
You have mishaps and fear and anxiety
and nearly drown on the way, but still you go
and little by little you build fortitude
and wind and skill, diving to your pearl.
Then you come like a rocket out of your own deep
with pearl in hand and a glowing smile on face,
and you are then with open rejuvenated heart
and a mind born free and flowing with thought.
And you return to all you love
and return very true but little wise,
you cannot yet know the nature
of the fear in their eyes.
Then you rattle around the walls
of other folks' brains and incite
them to action of good and bad intent
and take their shame and receive harm from them.
Then you open a door to Patience
and go along with a loved one
out of trust; it is next when
Patience and trust meet, that it begins.
You yield the best of you to the best of them,
And in comes more light and vision,
And you yield control and simply be,
while they yield to you both love and skill.
And through the gentle rush of it all,
by the kindness, for the will,
because you are ready and so are they,
next you open up your eyes
and you see the waves of heat
and you smell the Roses
and you know then God is with you
and you know then heaven has come to earth.
First comes will, then energy,
Then it finds you after you find it,
Then comes curiosity with innocence,
and love and warmth and light.

#poetry #lyrics - Rock Christ
wreck the light house shipman calling
over memory of my bird man flight
i'm still a moment before realizing that
all my situations have come done
the moment doesn't seem too fine or blurry
i'm just sitting well i'm feeling right
that's what i figure it to be and so
nobody chasing thought to mock it up to knock it down
yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a white knight throw back with some
mana flowing like zoraster magi from the east
and west it figures you won't recognize me
though you are so blessed to be here in this time
the roses and oh
the sunshine
the holy rain that's coming down
yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a round, yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a round, yeah i'm a round
you wouldn't see me around town
unless you were sensei
the biggest papa of the day
and then he'd probably say
in case you wonder to your self
believe in god and in one self
yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a round, yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a round, yeah i'm a round
for the sometimes that you let it be becoming
and the sometimes that you simply be
the harp is strumming beats are drumming
while you sing it loud and to yourself
yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a round, yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a round
yeah i'm a round, yeah i'm a round

#poetry - stopping ingenuity
i guess we build up or would it be down
there's more than one way to go
if you think about it often enough
and if you don't think someone thinks for you
i took a while to make myself up
and i did and i was grand and that was good
anyone could see and they knew and this felt fine
each of those moments were why life is so important
every picture has a highlight and a shadow
and sometimes someone comes to me asking advice
and sometimes i bring them through a journey
of building up and down until they buy my lines
where do these lines come from i never wonder
they come from the place i came from to begin with
am i ever to feel that i am not right for loving that
only for the longest moment and only for the longest moments
and before and after these sometimes i go to another
and walk on the lot and into the shop and therefore
i am sprung in another's trap and captured there to hear
the sounds of true words and see images of flowing beauty
another's innocence or that kind of portrayal
or beyond a skeptical sense an innocence of another kind
and there i will bask for the glory of it taking it all in
and letting it soak and become me and allowing myself to be sold
but are we ever truly sold or truly able to sell
when where it comes from is flowing and not stable
when where it all comes from is always on the move
to keep on making and making new always without end
oh holy god i am so tired and yet still young
and i know nothing is guaranteed not middle not old
and that there is no going back even for breath
but that why would you has an answer undoing everything
and that standing still doing nothing is possible
beyond the alarms of the mind ringing out for action
there is a stopping of the gears halting ingenuity
life is so important even if you make nothing
what you do for life what would you do for life
would you come to me now for i am failing
or let me know again and again what else there is
beyond and beyond that till the beyond runs out of itself
a loop a loop again a loop there there where where
growing is not what is happening what is happening
is only a happening whether up or down shivering
and whether words have meaning or not meaning or not
there's more than one way to go
if you think about it often enough
and if you don't think someone thinks for you
i took a while to make myself up

#poetry Available
A concise night.
A friend's birthday, and we crawled--
at first venue, a little wine,
At second, beer.
Driving alone home,
My hands and fingers wander
A backseat stash
The plastic bag shrouds two water bottles--
and after a minute fumbling for one,
I settle for what's more available.
And opening, I pause,
thinking should have tried harder for the other.
An extended career of taking Available.
Father John says that
Matthew's disciples say that
Matthew said that
Jesus said that
just as birds can take from trees
and find all they need upon the ground
in a field of flower and grass,
so shall we find all we need
in the Abundance, that is available.
If any part of this sounds ridiculous,
There's still always the second water bottle,
waiting
entwined in plastic,
accessible only to those who pull over the car
turn on a light
and figure the situation out.
I choked a little and puked a little
while composing thse thoughts.

god plays hide and seek
so the angels are in heaven
doing their thing
and Lucifer steps forward and says
"Hey, let's play a game."
The angels gather in chorus and reply
"What sort of game?"
Lucifer smirks and says
"You'll see. We gotta get the big guy involved first."
So they go up and knock on his door
boom, boom, boom
and, of course, he's home
"Yes?"
"Want to play a game with you." Lucifer speaks for the choir.
"Oh?...what sort of game?"
Lucifer glows a little brighter and answers
"Its called Hide and Seek."
God doesn't do anything extra-special but is uncommonly curious
"How do you play this game?"
Lucifer, again with the smirk, steps even closer to God and says
"Well, one of us will hide and the rest of us will try to find him."
God shows his favor for the game
by making the whole of Creation
as we know it, in but half an instant.
He asks,
"Oh that sounds like a splendid game. Who hides first?"
Lucifer, the smirk is ever-present, answers,
"You do."

i invoke the god bolt
before fire what fun was there,
what agents fueled the release
from daily strife and trial
to heal our livelong traumas
and signal the departure of care---
what sparked our smart stupor
to lighten mind, slow heart
and free spirit
before we could control fire?
did we wait for lightning to strike
the bush before we could dance
loose, raw and free
to let the smoke rise and enter
our aboriginal lung
set our primitive brains aflame
and give lift to our spirits
so the whole being of us
could rise to heaven?
were i then shaman of my tribe
would my energies be spent
promoting an absence of rain
with the coming of thunder?
and accidents of the hunt
that left my arms numb for life---
would they elevate my station
to bush man
tree warden
torch bearer
and steel my nerve for certain tasks,
to carry the smoldering log
bare handed to its proper altar,
for the sight of my coming
to signify an end of the wasting day,
bring onlookers to knees
and open palms to peace?
would the scent of my burning flesh
whet the true appetites
of my proud fathers
and womb dry mothers
and so incensed would our dear elder
not teach us to subordinate
earth and water
to wind and fire
with hope that ether would reign?
oh oh oh oh
would indeed
and as ever, always,
for even before control
yet it was even
so so so so
let the wild winds come
let the earth at this time stand dry
bring forth the flaming branch
marshal the teary eye's pain
rise glorious inferno---
unleash your wilder spirits
possess each one of us
for we are a tribe of brothers and sisters
at war always
hungry always
sick and dying always
make us senseless and noble
give us peace and cause to rest
for something so random
i pray, live and die:
let the god bolt ignite the god tree
and make a god man burn in me.

Malcyon Descends
"malcyon descends"
and their swords of flame,
which advanced every army
that ever walked this earth,
became unwieldy
grave with anger
rapt with bloodlust
incensed by bloodscent.
what once seemed light and obedient
grew forcefully intense
each sword became the birth of a new star,
brighter, hotter, heavier, more dense---
and like a new star, the swords issued new orders
that burned the dark expanse,
while the cosmos about them churned in response,
"come to me" they said, separate but in time.
and the leaders, the wielders, those dark knights,
saddled on flame shod horse,
were thrown by turn from their dark steeds.
broken necks were wrought for their dark deeds.
with swords aflame and these dark stars amok,
though the dark leaders were blood craving,
the dark leaders' bodies fed the dark star flame---
and then that flash came!
bright as an ethereal dawn,
hotter than a star core
more commanding than the black hole of dreams---
instantly blinded were the armed hordes of man,
the flash!
crippled our will and our willful,
stunned our cunning, and ruled our ruthless.
made children of men standing,
and children stand account for men.
the flash!
snipped our hearing shy of one frequency
and tagged our exposed skin--the blood mark bare!
in that flash!
we became conscripts in a new armed horde.
those who could see without sight saw her descend
Lo! what we saw there---
the seven swords aflame rose high as toward heaven
the seven nation warriors stood still with shame
the seven nations stood naked without warriors
the seven swords that rose converged to one point
and her light craving hand eclipsed that corona
seven dark fingers caressed the hilt
seven more molded the swords flame
and Lo!
her battle axe was born---
seven and seven were clenched into a fist
and Lo!
her battle axe was borne---
and laughter
laughter, laughter, LAUGHTER!
bellowing from every dead belly
ever buried on earth
vomited blood and mud
a torrent of laughter, blood and mud,
rained heavenward till the ground oozed the sky,
in that heat, all became mist and death stench,
hear this now, hear it---
sulfur will have no name now from this time hence
and we will have no other sense for smell---
for sulfuric fury became the rain,
and her voice
coursed through this malevolent fog in waves,
cascades, ricochets, flak bursts, thunderclaps,
of crescendo and decrescendo, of pitch and maw
O Michael, O Lucifer, O God---
for who could see, what we saw!
and the voice we could hear!
an aria of aural agony, as never told nor dreamed,
raped that last frequency left to our ear---
i could see her, my vision clear
a beauty is she---
dark eyes that drank light
dark silken hair
in a long tight braid she wore,
a battle maiden, made for war,
darkly clad with no armor to see
but a bright chalice of blood
emblazoned on her crest
shadowed only by the contours of her breast
a man made minister of grace
body supple, innocent and chaste
shoulders like a steeds
eyes deep, ashes for lashes
and eyebrows keen
two asymmetrical dances of light
danced on either cheek
her bones sharp, her perfect smiling teeth clean.
and when she spoke, she spake as dream---
~my children, my boys, ah my girls---
my fathers and mothers,
my dead and dying, my fairy tale dreamers
and my nightmare marauders, oh my saints and my dear sinners---
you are now my minions and wrath bearers
you are now the excellence of my work
you are now the song of my harp and lyre
i have come to you
this time for the last
with new law to lay upon you
for this i hold that was your swords
is now my axe
and these i command that were your hordes
are now my whores
and this i wage that was your war
is now my chore
so then have at thee, lay down and be still
for this is your end of days
obey me all and i will spare the shadows of you
that i burn into the ground~
and with this final message that came as light
Malcyon came down.
and their swords of flame,
which advanced every army
that ever walked this earth,
became unwieldy
grave with anger
rapt with bloodlust
incensed by bloodscent.
what once seemed light and obedient
grew forcefully intense

and we will have no other sense for smell---
for sulfuric fury became the rain,
and her voice
coursed through this malevolent fog in waves,
cascades, ricochets, flak bursts, thunderclaps,
of crescendo and decrescendo, of pitch and maw
O Michael, O Lucifer, O God---
for who could see, what we saw!
and the voice we could hear!
an aria of aural agony, as never told nor dreamed,
raped that last frequency left to our ear---
i could see her, my vision clear
a beauty is she---
dark eyes that drank light
dark silken hair
in a long tight braid she wore,
a battle maiden, made for war,
darkly clad with no armor to see
but a bright chalice of blood
emblazoned on her crest
shadowed only by the contours of her breast
a man made minister of grace
body supple, innocent and chaste
shoulders like a steeds
eyes deep, ashes for lashes
and eyebrows keen
two asymmetrical dances of light
danced on either cheek
her bones sharp, her perfect smiling teeth clean.
and when she spoke, she spake as dream---
~my children, my boys, ah my girls---
my fathers and mothers,
my dead and dying, my fairy tale dreamers
and my nightmare marauders, oh my saints and my dear sinners---
you are now my minions and wrath bearers
you are now the excellence of my work
you are now the song of my harp and lyre
i have come to you
this time for the last
with new law to lay upon you
for this i hold that was your swords
is now my axe
and these i command that were your hordes
are now my whores
and this i wage that was your war
is now my chore
so then have at thee, lay down and be still
for this is your end of days
obey me all and i will spare the shadows of you
that i burn into the ground~
and with this final message that came as light
Malcyon came down.

Lady Lazarus by Sylvia Plath
"Lady Lazarus" by Sylvia Plath
I have done it again.
One year in every ten
I manage it----
A sort of walking miracle, my skin
Bright as a Nazi lampshade,
My right foot
A paperweight,
My face a featureless, fine
Jew linen.
Peel off the napkin
0 my enemy.
Do I terrify?----
The nose, the eye pits, the full set of teeth?
The sour breath
Will vanish in a day.
Soon, soon the flesh
The grave cave ate will be
At home on me
And I a smiling woman.
I am only thirty.
And like the cat I have nine times to die.
This is Number Three.
What a trash
To annihilate each decade.
What a million filaments.
The peanut-crunching crowd
Shoves in to see
Them unwrap me hand and foot
The big strip tease.
Gentlemen, ladies
These are my hands
My knees.
I may be skin and bone,
Nevertheless, I am the same, identical woman.
The first time it happened I was ten.
It was an accident.
The second time I meant
To last it out and not come back at all.
I rocked shut
As a seashell.
They had to call and call
And pick the worms off me like sticky pearls.
Dying
Is an art, like everything else,
I do it exceptionally well.
I do it so it feels like hell.
I do it so it feels real.
I guess you could say I've a call.
It's easy enough to do it in a cell.
It's easy enough to do it and stay put.
It's the theatrical
Comeback in broad day
To the same place, the same face, the same brute
Amused shout:
'A miracle!'
That knocks me out.
There is a charge
For the eyeing of my scars, there is a charge
For the hearing of my heart----
It really goes.
And there is a charge, a very large charge
For a word or a touch
Or a bit of blood
Or a piece of my hair or my clothes.
So, so, Herr Doktor.
So, Herr Enemy.
I am your opus,
I am your valuable,
The pure gold baby
That melts to a shriek.
I turn and burn.
Do not think I underestimate your great concern.
Ash, ash ---
You poke and stir.
Flesh, bone, there is nothing there----
A cake of soap,
A wedding ring,
A gold filling.
Herr God, Herr Lucifer
Beware
Beware.
Out of the ash
I rise with my red hair
And I eat men like air.

ode for an israeli apology
my friend muhammad
took an axe in the face
in nineteen forty seven
his daughter was eleven
she watched him die
then was dragged away
her house now israeli
the piano sounds different
but the vineyard still makes wine
i suppose some feel fine
but some still know what they did
to my friend muhammad---taking, sin!
relive how we begin
birth, light, pain, warmth--love!
there is a home for each of us
countless stars make one universe,
one sun one moon one earth,
a life, a death and what comes between---
you know what i mean,
muhammad did not need to die that way---
the sun is bright on any day
which is not to say
god shows favor for
blood spilling land feuds
judgment day shall reduce
us all to the soul's rejoice
in our maker's shade
all while eternal light burns the cavalcade
who murdered, for wealth and land---
why, why? tell us all now why.
muhammad did not have to die
israeli who were grandfathered in,
before god begins again,
please explain that sin.

Ichor Flow
The brilliance that made Heart beat the horizon
With warm vanity and counter Autumn’s air,
Also gave that Crimson force enough to shun
Our fear and say, “No frost will bare this hand’s fare.”
The day the cold came, it confused our will
With love, and quilled our skin with blood to mend
Our words, and woke the cure to our tongue’s ill—
That day we mortals could breathe by a god send.
That day we felt the sanguine humor—graced
As aural light falling on lays of plain—
Incite us to become the demure and chaste,
Giving our Heart strength to graze its lovely grain.
That immortal brilliance that put fire to cold
Is the divine right of the mortal soul.
With warm vanity and counter Autumn’s air,
Also gave that Crimson force enough to shun
Our fear and say, “No frost will bare this hand’s fare.”

i Revealed November 2009
I Waged a War of Words
that became a War of Worlds
that became a War
that became
and then Just Was.
I Saged a love by Words
that became the love of Worlds
that became a love
that became
and then
I Aged a World of love
that became a love Wild
that became a love
that became
a child
I Raged a World of Numbers
that became a World of letters
that became a World
that became
a Song
I Maged a Word of mind
that became a Body of thine
that became a World
that became
Just in time
i gauged a light of source
that became a fateful choice
that became a fate
that became
Rejoice!
I caged a Week of Days
that became a Week of years
that became a Week
that became
God Song tears
i Aged eternal and slept awhile
i awoke to the music echo
in the cave of craze
in the cave
i sang
i forgot the words were mine
i forgot ever thine
i forgot to pay
i forgot and now
i pray
i raised a world of ghost
i chased a world of dream
i cased the world of seam
i lazed an empty beam
i heart host
lo! now do i hear the rifle call
echoing my names---how
the memory falls---how
we lose it all, somehow,
we lose it all---and how
we find it all again
we find each other, we lose each other;
we shall find each other again.
husband and wife,
brother and sister,
friend out of friend---
the river flies out,
and we loop around the bend
that became a War of Worlds
that became a War
that became
and then Just Was.
